THE MINSTER SECRET GARDEN will be open to visitors on SUNDAY 30 JUNE between 10.30 and 16.00 under the National Open Garden Scheme.  Garden Lodge on Wylie’s Road and 30 St Giles Croft will be open 10.30-16.30.  Combined admission to the three gardens is £8 with proceeds going to a number of medical charities .  We shall be serving light refreshments throughout the day in the Parish Hall; donations will go to the Minster.
The Secret Garden is a woodland oasis created from an old orchard, animal yard and associated buildings in the lee of Beverley Minster, maintained by volunteers for community use. It supplies produce and cut flowers for the Minster.
Garden Lodge on Wylies Road outside the walls at North Bar offers unexpected tranquillity behind high town walls and a satisfying mix of old and new styles.
30 St Giles Croft , cul-de-sac off The Leases, is a modern lawn-free walled garden with colourful boarders, magnolias and wall shrubs.
*The Secret Garden has been awarded a Yorkshire Wildlife Trust Wildlife Gardening Award for 2024 which will be announced, and a plaque will be presented to Judy and her volunteers.
