Including a legacy in your will is an excellent way of helping to support the work of the Minster in the longer term.
It is suggested that you make or amend your will with the help of a solicitor to ensure that it correctly embodies your wishes.
You may choose to direct your legacy towards
1. The Parochial Church Council, for the general funds of the Minster supporting mission and ministry
2. The Old Fund, for the preservation of the historic fabric of the building
3. The Friends of Beverley Minster, for the enrichment of the fabric and furnishings of the Minster
1. Should you wish to help by giving a legacy for the general funds of the Minster, please insert the following clause into your will:
- I bequeath the sum of £______, or __% of my estate, free of duty to Beverley Minster Parochial Church Council, Parish Centre, 38 Highgate, Beverley HU17 0DN, and I declare that the receipt of its Treasurer shall be a sufficient discharge for the legacy.
2. If you would like to help by giving a legacy to the Old Fund, please insert the following clause into your will:
- I bequeath the sum of £______, or __% of my estate, free of duty to the Trustees of the Beverley Minster Old Fund, c/o Parish Centre, 38 Highgate, Beverley HU17 0DN, and I declare that the receipt of its Treasurer shall be a sufficient discharge for the legacy.
3. If you also would like to help by giving a legacy to the Friends, then please insert the following clause into your will:
- I bequeath the sum of £_____, or __% of my estate, free of duty to The Friends of Beverley Minster and I declare that the receipt of its Treasurer shall be a sufficient discharge for the legacy.
Thank you.
