There are some exceptions due to other events taking place.

In the interests of everyone, we strongly advise the wearing of a mask.

On the tour our guide will tell you the story of St John of Beverley and how tradition has it that he influenced King Athelstan to give Beverley the ‘right of sanctuary’. You will see medieval stained glass, the Saxon fridstool and the Norman font. Your guide will explain why a relatively small town has a parish church that is larger than many cathedrals.
