Christian Service Unit Khammam Andhra Pradesh
For over 40 years Beverley Minster and the associated churches have supported the charity Christ For All (CFA) based in Khammam in Andhra Pradesh, South India. This included multiple visits by people from CFA and a member of the congregation visiting and working with the local team in Khammam. Early 2019 CFA ceased to exist but all the work of spreading the gospel and living the gospel continues with the same team of people in Khammam. The organisation is now known as Christian Service Unit (CSU) and is a non-government organisation. The president is John Franklin.
The work carried out by the team in Khammam cover many activities and includes– leading worship, building new churches in villages around Khammam, Pastor training in the school of evangelism, looking after the sick in St Mary’s hospital, supporting HIV clinics, helping people gain skills so they can live independently, sponsor children in education in local schools and higher education e.g. nursing qualifications and running a home for the elderly.
