Saturday 5 October at 19.00

We are delighted to host multi-award-winning sitarist Jasdeep Singh Degun at Beverley Minster this October, in one of only 14 appearances on his tour of England and Wales.

As the Royal Philharmonic Society’s Instrumentalist of the Year 2024, this acclaimed musician from Leeds has been recognised for ‘showing us all the beauty and boundless possibilities of the sitar’.

His debut album, 2022’s Anomaly, was recorded with the legendary Nitin Sawhney and released by Peter Gabriel’s Real World Records. It took the sitar into new territory, powered by Jasdeep’s remarkable skill and lifelong immersion in the Indian classical tradition.

The concert on Saturday 5 October begins at 19.00, with doors open from 18.30.

Entry is by ticket only. £8.30 – £22.38 + booking fee.
