10.6.20 update from the Vicar:

From Monday 15 June, in accordance with Government guidelines, churches may be opened for individual private prayer.

Churches in Beverley are working together to open between 11.00 and 13.00 as follows:

Monday and Thursday: St Mary’s

Wednesday: St Nicholas

Tuesday and Friday: Minster

The churches are open strictly for private prayer and not for general visiting.

Visitors will be asked to use hand sanitiser and to give contact details so that in the event of fresh outbreaks of Covid-19 the NHS can be assisted in tracing the spread.  Revised 16.6.20

28.3.20 update from the Vicar:

“Following clear directions from both Archbishops, the Minster and associated churches have been closed. This includes ringing the service bell or clergy streaming live services from inside. We are asked to set an example of remaining at home as much as possible. Following this closure, services, concerts and other events have been cancelled until the Minster re-opens”.

28.3.20 update from the Vicar:

“Prayer and Worship in the Minster and associated churches have been replaced by prayer and worship at home and online. Midday prayers are being live-streamed daily by members of the ministry team on Facebook >

A weekly service of Holy Communion will be posted here > every Sunday, with a separate reflection and music. Written daily prayer resources with a reading, short reflection and link to music are posted daily here >. It has been encouraging to see how much these resources have been accessed”.

28.3.20 New section posted by the Vicar

The pastoral and ministry teams are aiming to keep in touch by telephone with those in the Minster community who live on their own or who might be regarded as in some way vulnerable. Because of Data Protection requirements we are conscious that we may not have contact details for everyone with whom we should be keeping in touch. Referrals can be made by calling 07957 101699 or emailing here if you think that someone may have been missed.

A number of people have offered to help anyone who cannot get out to do shopping, collect prescriptions, walk the dog, etc. We are glad to receive offers of such help, but we can only use volunteers over 70 in making ‘phone calls to those living on their own. Contact us here >
