Nativity

Christmas 2024

Saturday 21 and
Monday 23 December

15.00 each day – Walking Nativity

This is an interactive delight for all ages, from pre-school upwards. We journey from the church yard to the secret garden, stopping along the way to meet characters from the Christmas Story, ending up at the ’stable in Bethlehem’. Sturdy shoes and appropriate clothing for the weather recommended.

The walk is very slow and short and buggy/wheelchair accessible. The event lasts approx 45 minutes. If you are able, please come dressed as a character from the Nativity.

The Christmas Eve Crib Service is the start of Christmas for many. Each service lasts under an hour, is suitable for all, but especially those with children under 10. We travel around the Minster telling the story of the first Christmas with Carols, hunting for sheep, angels and gifts, terrible jokes and plenty of costume changes. Your children are welcome to dress up and there will be plenty of photo opportunities.
