Advent Procession

One of the year’s most dramatic services as a procession moves from darkness to light. Words and music focus on the Advent theme of light in darkness, hope in despair, and a new relationship with God in Christ. Sung by the Minster Choir.

Nine Lessons and Carols

The traditional carol service at the heart of Christmas. Two identical services are held to enable as many as possible to join the celebration of Christmas.

Crib Services

Children and adults alike are invited to sing carols, say prayers and walk around the Minster remembering the journey of Mary and Joseph, the shepherds and the wise men to Bethlehem.
