The Minster has a number of House Groups in which people meet informally for prayer, Bible study, discussion and fellowship. The groups vary in style, providing something to suit and to challenge most people. Most meet weekly; some monthly. Daytime and evenings.
This is what some of our House Group members say:
“House Groups embody relevant faith.”
“House Groups drip-feed an understanding of God into the real life of the everyday world.”
“As a new church member, joining a House Group eased my path into fellowship, which is often a problem in a congregation as big as that of Beverley Minster.”
“I feel like nothing I say will be judged – there are no ‘wrong’ answers in my House Group.”
“My House Group allows me to talk through issues that I can’t share with my secular friends and to gain personal support in a way that they cannot give.”
“House Group enables me to seek Christ in others and to continue to grow in prayerful felowship.”
“Our group has been in the right place at the right time, when people have been in real personal need – that’s God’s grace at work through us.”
