Friends Events

The Friends’ Social Secretary arranges visits during the year. The most recent of these was to the National Memorial Arboretum and Lichfield Cathedral.

11.30 Helen Whittaker – ‘Artworks on a theme of Pilgrimage, an artist’s journey.’

12.30 Lunch – Medieval fare in the south transept. (Included in ticket price.)

14.00 Dr Rosemary Horrox ‘Medieval Pilgrimage – the example of Beverley.’

15.00 Rev. Val Clarke  ‘Reflections on Present Day Pilgrimage’

Guided tour of Bridlington Priory

12.00 Visit to Bayle Museum – guided tour

13.00 15 minute walk to Ellie May’s Bistro for lunch (included in  ticket price)

14.30 Guided tour of the Old Town

Coffee and tea are available at the Georgian Tea rooms at 56, High Street from 10.00 to 5.00 pm. This is not included in the price of the day.  Vegetarian options are available for lunch.

Cost: Friends £17.50. non Friends £22.50 including lunch

 

AGM WEEKEND 11 – 13 October

Including, by popular demand, Dinner at Cerutti’s on Friday, and a visit to  Hull, with a tour of Holy Trinity, the Old Town, and a buffet lunch in the Plotting Room at ‘Ye Olde White Hart.’
